What Are People Saying About Swing Machine Golf?

Paul, I watched the DVDs and they were worth the wait. Great job to all
who worked on them. They are very informative and compliment all the
chapters of your book, and they turned on the light bulb on a few things
that I misinterpreted from the book.
Last season I did have a low round of 71 (one under par) using your
method, and had a constant index of 5 throughout the year. So thank you!

Mr. Paul Wilson: I received the DVD package in two days only with UPS.
Thank you for this great work you did for lovers of golf like myself and
many others. Now, after viewing it, I can say that I found the tool to
achieve my learning. I understand much better how the swing works and
how to work and practice at home during this winter.
I understand for the first time the importance of touching knees
together to produce a strong effortless swing without arms and hands
being involved. I am very happy and congratulations to you all. Thank
you.

FYI: I purchased your book last year and I was impressed by the quality
and effectiveness of your teaching. Now the DVD set just makes the whole
package more than perfect (what a DVD, amazing!). The quality, set-up
and organization is great.
I have read and viewed a lot of golf books and DVDs, but yours is by far
a winner. I wish you lots of success and thank you for your generous
insight.

Dear Paul,
I just wanted to drop you a quick e-mail to say just how satisfied I am
with the new Swing Machine Golf DVDs. You were right, they really were
worth the wait! And there was me thinking the book was great...! Since
I've received the DVDs I haven't stopped watching them. Two things
struck me immediately, one, it really is amazing how similar your swing
is to Iron Byron and two, your backswing. The hardest part for me to
copy has been the backswing as I have always taken the club too far to
the inside. I noticed on the DVDs just how "loose" even your backswing
is! It really is a joy to watch!
Although 2005 was a great year for me from a golfing point of view, I
really want to make 2006 even better. The DVDs are really going to help
me take my game to another level! I know you are probably exhausted
after the long game DVDs and contemplating a well-earned rest, however
what are your plans for a short game DVD/book and specialty shots
DVD/book? Just interested!
Anyway, thanks again and congratulations on a wonderful method!
Best regards,
Philip N.

Hi Paul,
I've read other books before, and get tips from magazines, but nothing
has helped my game before your book. Prior to this season I was a 20 hcp.
and had only broken 90 twice. Since I got your book, I have broken 80
three times (78,77,78) and am playing to an 11 hcp.
Everyone I play with asks, "What happened to you?". I tell 'em that I'm
taking lessons from Iron Byron, and that they all need to go to your
website. Everything about your program has been great ... Best money I
ever spent on golf!!!
Thanks,
Drew B.

Paul,
Just a quick note to thank you for the email tips I've been receiving
since purchasing your book. The DVD's I purchased in December have been
a great addition to the lessons in the book. They tied everything
together, as I am more visual than analytical.
Both were well worth the price.

Hi Paul
The DVDs are awesome; the way you teach is perfectly clear and to the
point with no fluff. I like the human nature part, and the pressure
points of what you should be feeling when trying the new swing. Keep up
the good work and I hope you have great success with the DVD.

Now that I have been using the DVDs, the book is getting more attention
as well. I now use the book for a convenient quick reference when I
don't have time to boot the DVDs up.
Watching Paul in action on the DVDs as he explains and demonstrates the
various parts of the swing has resulted in a much better understanding
of the same principles as they are described in the book.
It's a real one-two punch and I am now seeing some real positive results
that were very slow in coming before.

After some eighteen months in the making Paul Wilson’s Swing Machine
Golf DVD’s have been completed. Visits to the author’s website found the
release month changing on a monthly basis. So much so that the product
appeared to be vaporware. In the end, that has proved not to be so.
Professionally compiled, this high quality four DVD set is a work of
art. Following the layout of the book, Wilson presents his theories in
an easy to understand and very follow-able fashion. Any misunderstandings
a viewer may have had re the principle of effortless arms is removed and
his claims that following the principles will enable you to hit the ball
further with less effort ring true.
The book was good. The DVD’s are better. I doubt that the author will
get many queries from those who watch the set, as his presentation is
very clear and doable. Criticisms that humans can’t duplicate the swing
of Iron Byron are laid to rest as Wilson demonstrates his swing
alongside the World’s only perfect ball striker. Those that can’t see
the similarities need to look again, because they are obvious. It
wouldn’t take long for anyone to find him or herself repeating that
swing, providing he or she followed the instruction as presented. Those
that are patient and master the steps one at a time before moving on to
the next, will find themselves hitting the ball longer than ever with no
apparent effort. In a short time, they will be duplicating the three
things that make Iron Byron work, a circular body rotation with an
unrestricted hinge and a constant forward tilt.
From the interview with George Manning (the creator of Iron Byron) to
Wilson’s treatise on how to practice, this DVD is a gem. Interesting and
attention keeping, it is worth a buy. Swing Machine Golf became the most
valuable instruction book in my golf library. Within a short week the
DVD’s have become the most valuable instruction videos I have purchased.
The dust cover of the book says the book is “The fastest way to a
consistent swing.” If that was true, it is no longer. The DVD’s have
replaced it.

Dear Paul,
May I thank you for your excellently written and illustrated book, and
now the fabulous DVD set.
I especially appreciated the DVD no 3 and 4 which has helped me monitor
what I am doing wrong and more important what I am doing right. It means
that I can now pinpoint accurately where my swing needs improving.
I purchased swing machine golf (book) version spring of last year. I had
never had lessons and was really getting very frustrated with myself
especially as the "golf bug" took hold. I struggled initially to get out
of the bad swing habits I already had programmed into the subconscious.
But through perseverance (having an initial handicap of 23) I managed to
start getting more consistently straightish shots with a huge
improvement in club distance.
I was originally using my 9 iron for 100-110 yard shots! Now I can
achieve that with my sand wedge only using 75-80% power (the recommended
max) and more importantly drop it on the flagstick!! (well nearly
anyway).
I have improved my wood shots too. I can consistently drive 240+ yards
with my 3 wood and 270+ yards with my Driver, although I had a lot of
trouble initially with these longer clubs in direction control.
My handicap reduced to 17 over the space of 3 months, then disaster! I
broke two ribs whilst on a golfing holiday in Portugal (Swimming
accident I hasten to add!) This set me back terribly. I was not able to
play for 5 weeks and the recuperation messed up my golf swing. Not being
able to rotate my torso really made it impossible to play properly and
my handicap plummeted back to 23!
Still I have been able to improve again through just doing the
helicopter exercise and strengthening my rotation in a nice smooth way.
Then I discovered something which made me pretty upset with myself. I
made the fateful mistake of rushing the initial course from the book and
missed some vital input. It was only watching the DVD that I locked on
to my main failing. I was not maintaining my body angle throughout my
swing! Why? Because I was one of those taught initially to keep the head
"still". I was shanking and slicing all over the place.
Then I watched the dvds (4 times now) I was able to identify my problem.
I had initially missed the bit about moving the head correctly!!!! Since
then I have made some improvements in direction control which has let me
start paring and birding a few holes. I am getting quite excited about
my game again because I am at that point again (rounds 7 and 8) when I
am about to start rounds 9, 10 and onwards!
My swing is not perfect yet by any means, but it is more fluent, loose
and un-rushed and the results more pleasing. My aim is to get my
handicap to single figures by the end of 2006 but I think it may happen
sooner!! My scores a year ago were always 100+ you know 126, 115, 120
etc. But what about now after the course? I have recently hit scores of
88, 94, 106 (OOPS! damn that water feature!) and can you believe it
82!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friends have stopped asking me "you still reading that "machine"
book? Why don't you get proper lessons". Now its "can I borrow your book
sometime?" I just reply "INVEST IN YOUR OWN COPY! MINE ISN'T LEAVING MY
SIGHT!"
Thanks again Paul, I hope that one day I can shake your hand and buy you
a drink!
Kind regards,
Hal B.

PPS My son Karl (recently 14 years old, I'm 42 by the way) initially
wanted to do his own thing, but I caught him sneaking a peak at my book
in November. He hates reading but the dvd has changed him completely. He
always had a really good short game, but a poor long game. Now he out
drives most of the seniors at the club (220-250 yards with his driver)!
All in the space of 6 weeks!!!!
It's great playing golf together and when either of us hits a good one
we have our own catch phrase which others do not under stand yet. "The
Machine's a Man!". By the way he plays off the adult tees and you've
guessed it, he already has a handicap of 20!
What People are Saying About the Swing Machine Golf Book ...
Swing Machine Golf is a wonderful golf instruction book ... one of the
best I've seen. Paul Wilson has grabbed the essence of the golf swing
and made it clear, concise and easy to understand. This golf book will
take what can be a difficult game and make it seem like child's play.

After I gave your golf book to my brother, Ralph, he proceeded to shoot
a 34 for 9 holes (one under par). Ralph is a 20 handicapper and a
lifelong slicer. Last night I talked to him again and he had just shot a
39 for his last 9 holes. He says his biggest problem is that he is
hitting the ball straight off the tee and after slicing for 50 years he
is afraid to play the ball for a straight shot!
Obviously, he is impressed with your golf instruction book. I share his
impression ... The quality of the paper, the picture quality and the
format are first rate.
My favorite thing about it is the theme of simplifying the game. Most
golf instruction books tend to tell you how difficult the golf swing is
and attempt to give you 20 different things to think about in the
quarter second of the downswing. Needless to say many people get so
frustrated with this approach that they either give up the game or
decide to do it their way. Your approach and self checks should go a
long way in overcoming this and I think, as my brother has already found
out, long years of bad habits can be overcome.

Before my golf lessons with Paul I averaged 85 at the Nicklaus Golf Club
at Lionsgate. After the clinic he gave for the board members (which I
attended) my next scores averaged 80 with a low score of 79 and a high
of 81! This is the change I got after only 1 lesson!

I met Paul Wilson in the spring of 2000. At the time I was a frustrated
16 handicapper. We discussed my goals and I decided to book a series of
five golf lessons with him. Well, after three lessons and practicing his
method, my handicap had dropped to 8. I of course, returned and
completed the other 2 golf lessons and again continued to practice. Paul
also showed me how to practice effectively. After completing all 5 golf
lessons my handicap had dropped to 6. UNBELIEVABLE ! I was not a popular
guy with my golf buddies. After 10 lessons and a lot of practice my
handicap now is a FOUR. I went from shooting 88's and 90's to scoring 75
and 76's consistently. I dropped 12 strokes from my "cap" in basically
ten golf lessons with Paul Wilson and his Iron Byron swing technique.
I WOULD RECOMMEND PAUL WILSON'S GOLF INSTRUCTION BOOKS TO ANYONE WHO
WANTS TO PLAY BETTER GOLF FASTER.

I read your golf instruction book and started using your system about a
month ago. My game had been on the decline for awhile, and my handicap
had gone up to 15.Over the weekend I shot 78 and 81.That was the first
time I have broken 80 in over a year.
Thanks for your help,

Earlier tonight I watched you on The Golf Channel. I must say, out of
all the golf instructors I have seen on that show, your methods of
relating the correct golf swing to the Iron Byron made the most sense.
It's rather easy when you think about the simplicity of the machine, and
directly relate it to your golf swing. Thank you for sharing your
knowledge.
Sincerely,

I wanted to write you and let you now how much I enjoyed reading Swing
Machine Golf instruction book. I have been an avid golfer for over 40
years and have never read a golf book like this. It simplified the golf
swing for me. My handicap has dropped since I started copying the Iron
Byron as you described in your golf book. Please let me know if Paul
Wilson will be in the La Jolla area soon, I would like to book a private
lesson if possible. I plan to give your golf book away at our corporate
golf tournament next year.

I tried your method this afternoon, and I shot a 41! Five over was
definitely an improvement from the way that I have been shooting
recently - a big improvement. The only reason that it wasn't better was
that my chipping was causing me grief. But my drives were a lot
straighter and my irons were like darts at the pin!
